Continuing search function oddness

Hiya Eds,

So, I was searching for the last article ChiChi wrote, on pig ears. I plugged "Pig Ears Chichi" into the search bar up yonder.

It came up telling me that it searched Serious Eats and came up with zero results. At that point, I had to select, "Search ALL of Serious Eats" from the drop down menu and try the search again before the article popped up.

That's a weird little glitch, no? What is the difference b/n searching 'serious eats' and seaching 'all of serious eats'? Why, if the first option renders so few results is it the default on the search bar at the top of the page not 'all of serious eats'? and OMG I'm confusing myself now.

Further (I swear I'm not stalking you Chichi--you were just an uncommon [on this site] name on hand as I was trying to figure this search thing out), if you just type in Chichi into the search engine, it gives you a page of results that don't include her most recent contributions to the site. Beyond unhelpful, it's odd. I hope my little experience helps sort the bugs.

BananaMonkey-

I've not been able to find some older posts too.
I think they got lost in the upgarde.

Yes. It's a glitch that is driving me crazy. I will complain to TPTB.
