Casa Mezcal
Since reading an article on Oaxaca in Food & Wine magazine a few weeks ago, I have been trying to find information on a new Mexican/Oaxacan restaurant/bar/cultural center called Casa Mezcal that was supposed to open this summer on Orchard St on the LES. Anyone have any info? A google search turned up very little for me... Haven't had a chance to walk by the address google maps gives yet, but I assume it's not open yet? Thought maybe someone here might have heard/found something I wasn't able to... Thanks!

it's still slated to open as far as i know. i'm acquainted with the owners. like all restaurant / bar projects, i think it's just taking longer than anticipated to open. not sure what their strategy is for marketing the opening, but i have a feeling you'll know via blogs and webs when it opens to the public.
