Bewitching in the kitchen! What's for dinner 10/27, Tuesday?

Surrounded by swiners I am taking it up a notch. Tortilla soup, the chilaquiles verdes (from earlier in the week) and a platter of raw veggies with some kind of dip. Big salad and extra vitamin c next to every plate. Off to Lysol and Purell the crap out of everything in site!!

We are having red beans and rice and kale, stewed with kielbasa and onions and garlic. All served up in a big bowl with a side of bread and butter. YUM!

Chopped roasted pork and barbecue sauce on toasted whole wheat rolls. Probably a green salad on the side, but maybe green beans.

It's chilly and raining here so we're having pasta with meat sauce and meatballs along with homemade Italian bread. And the rest of the angel food cake I made Sunday.

Some kind of calzone I will create with some of my refrigerated artisan no-knead bread dough, and the mushrooms and baby spinach I liberated from the refrigerator earlier - maybe some parmesan or that gouda with nuts that's still lurking in there, as well. The baking should warm up the house.

leftovers (Chili or Hoisin beer beef stew) or something cheap and easy as we run errands. I've been eating cheesy mozzarella bread all day.

Leftover meatloaf! Also, leftover mac and cheese with ham and broccoli.

Hey POMama- *waves*

Tonight- turkey enchiladas, black beans, Sazon rice pilaf, chopped cabbage slaw with jalapeno, lime and cilantro

Shioyaki (salt grilled) salmon with eggplant, sweet potato, and shredded cabbage tempura.

leftover squash/apple/bacon bake

Fresh herb pasta with broccoli and shiitake mushrooms, tossed with pesto.

Following the Mexican trend -- pork sausage chili with ginger lemonade.

Mexican here too! Enchiladas verdes, rice and beans and a green salad with quick pickled onions. I can't wait! lol

It's clean out the fridge time---leftover pork roast with sauerkraut---just finished up the leftover salad and roasted red pepper & tomato soup for lunch....

Penne with cauliflower, saffron, and pine nuts. Cauliflower made its first appearance at my farmers market on Saturday and nothing is better than this vegetable when at its freshest. I bought this huge head so might only use half for the pasta dish and then make oven roasted cauliflower later this week with apples and dill.

leftover chili from Sunday.

@Cassaendra- you definitely eat more Japanese food than I do! lol
is that all your hubby's cooking? cabbage tempura is kinda innovative :-)

Seared scallops, roasted corn pudding in acorn squash (haven't made it before, hopefully it will be good), and a green salad.

I am thinking a big plate of roasted veggies and kale sauteed with garlic.

Tonight, we're making arroz con pollo. Can't wait!

LOL @PoorOldMama, I've been santizing all day! My hands are officially dehydrated :)

I'm thinking of meatball sandwiches....

No swiners here yet, but I was diagnosed with a nasty case of bronchitis that has taken hold from being down with a nasty cold the past 2 1/2 weeks. So, it's paninis and coleslaw for the guys. And for me it's many cups of Lipton chicken noodle cup of soup (hangs head in shame) and hot lemonade with honey. There's something about the Lipton crap--perhaps the saltiness, so I can taste something and perhaps that it doesn't fill you up, so I can have a few hot cups of it throughout the evening and not feel bloated.

Sliced avocado, pico de gallo, sour cream, and cheese on warmed flour tortillas. We call them avocado tacos and usually eat them on Fridays during Lent. Good stuff.

Am way behind on CSA vegetables. Braised beef with turnips and carrots / mashed potatoes & celery root / sauteed greens with onions and feta.

Sukiyaki! Lots of good beef, grilled tofu and mushrooms galore.

Glad to be part of the unintentional Mexican fiesta going on here today! We had Enchilada Casserole (chicken, refried beans, corn, red enchilada sauce, layered between flour tortillas) with (don't judge me) tater tots.

@hmw haha! I taught my husband to use shredded cabbage for tempura. My mother would make that up when there was leftover tempura batter after making ebi tempura. Yep, he cooks dinner 99% of the time.

Penne pasta, meatballs, marinara sauce, squash and garlic bread.

We had roast tomato and mozzarella ravioli with a tomato, mushroom and mascarpone sauce with, along with fresh baguette and a simple spinach salad with a mustard dressing. If the daughter cleans her plate, I know I've done well.
