Anyone have Boston restaurant recommendations?
Hi everyone - I'm taking an impromptu weekend trip to Boston. Anyone know a great place to eat? Something a little different maybe? Thanks!!!

I love Piattini's (means little plate in Italian) on Newbury street--great wines too. Another favorite is the Neptune Oyster House on Salem Street in the North End. Best seafood, great Bellini's, and a cool spot. I once spent an entire romantic afternoon there with the BigMan. Have fun!!

I went to Boston a few years ago and ate at some great places. Loved East Coast Grill & Raw Bar in Cambridge (awesome seafood, really fun, funky atmosphere), The Paramount in Beacon Hill (a diner-type place with really good omelettes), Kingfish Hall in Faneuil Hall (one of Todd English's restaurants - very good and much more affordable than some of his other places), and La Summa in the North End. Hope this helps!

one of my best foodie friends recommended "sibling rivalry" -- 2 brothers who have "competing" menus utilizing the same seasonal ingredients: http://www.siblingrivalryboston.com/. he says it's a fun concept and the food's great. he's been a bostonian for a while now, and it's one of his top picks.

Oleana in Cambridge is a blissful retreat. Ana Sortun's cuisine is Turkish/middle Eastern influenced, and the food is just incredible. The restaurant itself is in a very pretty area, and the interior is intimate without being stuffy. Honestly one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time.
