A16 in San Fran. Appleman in NY.
I think it was the "L.A. Pizza Maven" who posted the "A16 San Francisco" on Sept 20, 2009.
I have been hearing a lot about Appleman and his plan to open a place in NYC in the lower east this year.
Does anyone know when he will open his restaurant here? I can't wait to try!

According to this profile on Appleman in the New York Times, possibly December(?): "Construction will continue through December, so right now the menu is little more than notes on Mr. Appleman’s iPhone."
Though with "construction [continuing] through December," wouldn't surprise me to see it open in January.
