restaurants for groups on UES
We are having a family reunion in Oct , and will be staying in the UES. I am looking for good restaurants that will work for a Fri dinner(14 pp) and Sat late lunch (20 pp). Our ages range from 2-80 years...
I am considering Fresco on 52nd, Accademia di Vino and Circus. I would like a suggestion on a good Chinese restaurant in the area as well.
Any input on these establishments or suggestions otherwise would be greatly appreciated!

accademia de vino could work for a large group. they have lots of plates to share as well as pizzas. tony di napolis would definitely work, family style italian. how far up or down are you willing to travel?

wu liang ye is on 86th between 2nd and 3rd and is pretty good chinese, it is sit down and is definitely better than any take out in the area. they are known for their szechuan food although i have never had that, just the americanized staples. it isn't as good as what you will get in other parts of the city though, i'm sure.

Chinese isn't my forte, sorry. But, love Accademia di Vino and agree that it would be a good spot. I had my wedding dinner at 212. I actually rented out the entire place, but they have a separate upstairs for smaller parties. They have an affordable brunch and dinner menu.
