RE: Blood Sausage?
Well. I am surprised to say… I liked it. I have now had it two ways. It was nothing like I imagined at all.
Once as kind of a bruschetta on bread with some English Mustard maple honey glaze.
And once on a piece of toast with a poached egg.
Yum

Yes I can'telieve that I like it. There is this store where i live that sells German stuff and blood sausage is one of them. There is the smaller style and then there is a loaf that also has tongue in it, both style I really like, make all sorts of sandwichs with them. Now I have to go and buy some lol.

I really think that people get turned off by the name. If it was called a spread or a pate I think more people would eat it.

Blood sausage is sooooooooo ungodly good! Its so rich and flavorful! I'm Polish so my little Polish great grandmother feed use duck blood soup too. To those afraid to try it, seriously, just power through it, I think you'll love either.

In the UK it is called black pudding. Whatever you call it - I like it.

What kind of blood sausage was it? German? English? Kishka?
Or is it blood pudding?

It was German. I was expecting a heavy metalic dry mess... It was neither. I have been converted. Love it.
@Kerosena you are right. The name is what does it. It just doesn't sound good... but... it's awsome!
What other ways should I try it? Sandwich sounds good... how do you suggest?

I'm glad you liked it on toast with a poached egg, more or less my suggestion to you.
As a sandwith I'd go with slices of it on multi grain with lettuce tomato and remoulade, Or sun dried tomato garlic mayo, or chipotle mayo. Go a little spicy. Let us know how that works out

definitely a spicy application next

I spread it on seedless rye with butter, cream cheese and Boston lettuce.
I'll eat anything that Anthony Bourdain tells me to eat (except fish eyes) and he sure does love blood sausage, doesn't he?
