If you like Bloody Mary’s then you will love…
I have been hooked on Bloody Mary's for about a week now but I am getting a little bored with it. Is there another drink out there that might be similar to, but not a Bloody Mary?

Canadian Caesar Dude!
Celery Salt Rim
Ice (duh)
1 oz vodka (or tomato vodkas good too)
Worchestershire
Franks or Tobasco
Dash o lime
heres the key: Clamato
Garnish with celery
If you are sticking to a tomato-juice based bevvie (ie - V8); here's another:
Cactus Salad
dollop horseradish
1 oz tequilla
Fresh cracked pepper
ice (of course)
1/2 oz absolut citron (lemon vodka)
V8
garnish with pickled jalepeno
oh man i luv this stuff!

I've had a Bloody Matador and I like it more than a plain Bloody Mary.
hungrychristel, do you really like tomato vodka? I've been afraid to try it because I didn't like any of the other infused vodkas I've tasted.

@betteirene:
I share your fear.
My father adores it. Even straight up. But he loves his vodka.
I : on the otherhand have only ever had it in a mixed beverage/caesar.
I've been waiting for a full-on review for quite sometime.
I assume if it's got natural tomato water it should be excellenté: but the variety in Canada that I've found isn't natural (boo erns)
My take on infused vodkas overall: I love Absolut varieties; smirnoff-not so much. Many SeriousEaters can attest to making good ones on their own too if you're interested you could probably find it on here somewhere.

I like gin better than vodka, so I make a Bloody Hendricks, usually. They're delicious.
I also love cheladas, which is Mexican beer and tomato juice, seasoned with hot sauce & etc.
There's a whole page of variations on Wikipedia, actually: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloody_Mary_%28cocktail%29

Try some of the Stoli infused vodkas...especially the "Peppar."
Great for Scotch drinkers.

In keeping with the spirit of another thread about beer being a miracle tonic, how about making yourself a "Redeye" 1 beer (preferably a lager or lighter beer) 6 ounces of Clamato juice mix together then add 1 whole egg... Enjoy! That'll put hair on your bippy! And supposedly a great hangover cure.
I prefer plenty of water to keep from bleeding out of my eyes, but if maintaining a buzz is your way of keeping your eyes from looking like two tomatoes in a bowl of buttermilk... Then Cheers, and bottoms up!

Thanks for the tips, @hungrychristel and @BangieB.
And @Pavlov, I thought I was the only one on here old enough to know what a bippy is.

I went to a Mexican place yesterday and they made the bloody Matador but they called it bloody Maria, what made it was they infused jalepeno peppers in the tequila, very good .

you could dry a wee dollop of horseradish in the caesar as well. makes it all zing-y!
