Found the cupcake cookies
ok people, told you I would let you know if I found the cupcake cookies. I called one the secretaries that work at the firm and asked them. She just called me back and told me she found out. They were ordered from the web. I guess its a new on-line store for Chicago only. I just went on myself, because I am having a party next week and since I live in the Chicago suburbs I just placed an order. For anyone in Chicago who is interested here it is.

Two cookies, filling, icing on top. 30 bucks a dozen. Which is (my estimate 24 cookies and about 1.5 cups of icing give or take, some sprinkles etc. HOLY COW!!!
Cupcakes are cheaper. I am not known for being frugal but &$%# thats just stunning to me.

I'm not impressed with these. Somehow I was imagining more of a cupcake-textured cookie, like a cakey cookie...I was (in my head thingie) picturing sort of a "top o' the muffin" shaped cookie (which, incidentally, are now being proffered at my local Kroger) with a cakey crumb mouthfeel. Then perhaps with a decorative dollop of frosting of some sort.

Those are obscenely priced. I can't imagine them being worth what they cost.

On the back of the Funfetti box is a recipe for cookies made from the mix. They're actually quite good and more of the consistency I think most were imagining. You do have to like the vanilla, cake batter flavor. Of course, I do.
