Dusty Beaujolais-Villages Nouvelle
Cleaning out a few cabinets this morning and found this unopened bottle dated 2006. Anyone think it's still drinkable or useable in food prep? I know it should have been consumed the moment we brought it home but somehow it got lost behind the Stoli Peppar.

It may be better, so crack it open and see if it has aged or turned to vinegar. 2006 is not an old vintage. Hope it makes your evening mellow.

Years ago, I went to the local liquor store and bought a bottle of Mouton Cadet and a couple of other wines, stored them properly, opened it about a week later and it was vinegar. Good vinegar, but vinegar nonetheless. I called the store to let them know, and sure enough, they implied that it was my fault. Rather than take it back and cause a scene, I reduced it by half and used it to finish some pan-fried steaks and salads.
