Your Edible Vice

Ed just wrote a candid experience of his 'addiction' to peanut butter. What's your edible vice? I think mine is sprouted garbanzo beans. I can pop them popcorns!

36 Comments:

Bread. It's tough for me to walk past a loaf of crusty artisan bread. I don't think there's enough willpower in the world to stop me from eating bread.

chocolate chip cookies - home made and still warm.

cheese. Oh, how I do love cheese.

Little Debbie's Swiss Cake Rolls-- I can't stop until the box is gone.

everything bagels.. toasted with cream cheese or muenster cheese.

I think I'm guilty with kmgagne.

Once the cheese touches the lips...

crusty italian bread. i say, "i'll just eat this little end here..." then I pull off another length...and then another...and another....then, "oh well, there's just this little end left, may as well eat it."

Or if I had to pick justy one... I would say... ummm... food. Yep, Food is my vice.

Food is my vice. If I had to pick, it'd be sweets and creamy things, like ice cream or fettucine alfredo. I also love cured meats and bacon cheeseburgers.

Cheese. I can sometimes resist other siren calls, but cheese is just too delicious. Also potato chips. I always have at least one, even if I'm full, if someone makes them available.

Agree with the chips, and the cheese.

happy eats you broke my mouse's scrolling capabilities

Brown sugar, straight from the can or bag, especially the chunks that form into balls due to moisture.

Its awful for me, and my thighs, but its something about the molassely, sugary, goodness that keeps me coming back.

@hungrychristel ... I really think I have a problem. I need medication.

:)

@ happy eats....I think I just sprained my finger scrolling down using that ball thingy on my mouse, hehe.

Oh, I forgot about buffalo chicken wings. I love love love LOVE buffalo wings!

And beer, i know it's not food, but i really love it.

@kmgagne i absolutely love the taste of beer. crave it all the time.
some find it hard to believe that i loved it at first "taste"
but its true!

@happyeats hehe perhaps you should look into that for the sake of kmagne and i

It's not food, but coffee is definitely my addiction.

@happyeats, after you , I'm up for whatever is next on the menu! But I must add, that cheese rocks. DH votes for pizza. Homemade is best.

Bread. Home-made bread. I make a loaf and easily finish it off by myself in a day. Flatbreads too. No condiments or spreads needed.

Homemade cheeseburgers, double meat, double gooey cheese and lots of red onions. Mmmm.

Whipped cream.

Bread and real butter
Cheese
Tortilla chips
Cheeseburgers
Those waffle fries at Chick Fil-A with mayonnaise
Crunchy Cheetos
Cake frosting
There are certainly many more but these are the best (I mean worst)

I was gonna just say non-microwaved popcorn and leave it at that, but there's more, much more. Like French bread and butter with my sweet coffee in the morning, a (heaping) spoonful of peanut butter in the afternoon, a chunk of cheddar or Swiss in between and, when the coffeepot's empty, a pitcher of iced tea in the summer and a pot of hot tea in the winter. That's every day. I gotta have it. Heaven help you if you stand in the way of me and my Skippy Honey Roast.

I can't walk past an open bag of anything without my hand darting into it (Oreos! Cheetos! Tim's potato chips!). How bad am I? I would steal them off a grandchild's plate and blame it on someone else, oh yes I have. Those things that just can't be made at home, I had to quit buying them. I'd weigh 300 lbs. if I didn't.

Gotta make a batch of popcorn and drizzle it with butter. I'll call for help with my food vices. . .tomorrow.

If I had the means, I would buy a VAT of salmon roe and sit next to it with a spoon until it was completely gone. Also, I can't leave lox alone. Come to think of it, salmon sashimi is a terrible weakness of mine. I guess I like salmon.

Good thing I'm freaking broke, or I'd have a serious problem :)

anything and everything that is good.

Pancakes. Can never get tired of them.

Things that are dangerous for me to eat:

Crusty bread, especially with sesame seeds
Bacon
Ice cream
sushi
things battered and deep fried
coffee
jones soda
thanksgiving sandwiches
oreos
kettle chips

plain lay's potato chips... or any potato/salt combo.

cheese, pasta, fruit (berries, grapes), potato chips
