Where to eat/farmers markets in Malden, MA?
Hi SEers.
I'm making my first trip to Boston on Friday to visit a friend. She lives in Malden (north of Boston), and she's not as big of a foodie as I am, but she is always open to new things.
Anyone been to Malden and had a great meal somewhere? Are there any farmers markets that I can't miss? Please share.
I'll be there for 5 days - and yes, I do know that it's restaurant week.
Thanks!

If you're in the city, I really like the copley farmer's market (right by the copley t-stop on the green line). Don't really know the restaurants out that way, but would be happy to provide feedback or recs if you're looking for some places to eat in Boston.

malden isn't really known for its restaurants, but it's a short drive to cambridge, which has some decent eats and boston which has some better places to eat. Hungry Mother in cambridge is a definite must-eat.

If you plan on grilling at home at all, don't miss Dom's Sausage Company in Malden. They make their own sausages and they are seriously to die for. Also, where Dom's is located there is a great, inexpensive produce super store and also a large Super 88 market (hard to find Asian foods).
If you want to go out in Cambridge, it is close by. Also it's restaurant week here, so maybe planning a trip into the city to try a fancy restaurant at a cheaper pre fixe price is a good idea. I recommend Rialto at the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square.

Don't miss Craigie on Main, though you may have to break the bank for your meal. Hungry Mother is great too.

I lived in Malden for a long time. It's not worth staying there to eat (unless you're looking for a sub shop)-- better to head to East Boston (not far at all) and get the best pizza ever at Santarpio's...or into the Cambridge/Somerville area and get amazing tapas at Dali. Each within a 15 minute drive, more or less, depending on traffic.
CAN I COME?!

Beansprout on Commercial street...great Chinese food restaurant with the addition of a Sushi bar. Personally I loved the food and the prices.
