"Middle" TN? Is that like...Nashville? Also, be a bit more specific about cuisine, price, etc.

My great grandma's farm! JK
I actually have no idea because whenever I'm there we eat at the house, but if you're around Centerville/Hohenwald etc. the Grinder's Switch Winery outside of Centerville has a great atmosphere and great wine. No food though, just booze! :)
I gotta say there were some really excellent looking Mexican places in Hohenwald this last visit...a lot more Hispanic influence down there now, and I was dying to go into one of the more authentic looking places, but I never got the chance.

Wild Iris in Brentwood is good. The Germantown Cafe and Monell's in Germantown are both great, too. (Monell's might have a second location in Franklin, but I haven't been there in a while.) And the Loveless Cafe is worth a trip for their blackberry jam alone.

In addition to the above, Yellow Porch (100 Oaks Area), Tin Angel on West End, Cafe Nonna in Sylvan Park...

If you are willing to drive to Downtown Franklin, Sol is great.
In Nashville, I've never had a bad experience at Zola's, Mambu, Germantown Cafe, and Virago. If you are willing to spend money, Flyte is well worth the price. If you are looking for casual divey places with good food, McDougal's Chicken Coop and Jack's BBQ are pretty good.
