Where do you buy your spices from? London/Oxford UK
After a trip to Istanbul last year and bringing back hoards of amazing spices, I'm not quite satisfied with what I find in my local supermarket... And now I'm in need of some Ras-el-Hanout spice mix (I know, I know, but I'm currently writing up my thesis and don't have time to make it up every time) and wondered where I can find a good, reputable spice dealer around Oxford or London (somewhere nice and close to the Tube line if in London, please) or somewhere in between those two, UK? Thanks in advance...

Fortnum & Mason is where I get things in UK.

I've ordered online from a company called seasonedpioneers.co.uk Possibly not the cheapest way to buy, but they have a good selection. There's also the spice shop in West London, which I believe is tiny but well-stocked (and also offers online buying). Further afield is Steenbergs, which a friend gave me a lovely gift box of spices from.
Other than that, I'd investigate your local ethnic groceries - they often have a good selection really cheaply.

Thanks both for the suggestions... @JT - yes, I love Fortnum and Mason, was planning on a "posh" food shopping trip to London sometime soon, possibly as my birthday treat.
