Okay yesterday I was going to have a taco salad at my fav joint but the place was so packed and they only had one cook i decided to pass on anything. So today I plan on going to the same place and giving it another shot for that taco salad unless they have something I like on the surprise specials board.

Homemade pizza.

Fettucine Bolonese with "poor man's garlic bread" (Texas toast slightly toasted with minced garlic and softened butter).

Friday nights are pizza night! Homemade pizza dough, topped with a little sauce, mozzarella, onions and some hot Spanish chorizo and piquillo peppers.

Paired with Bell's Oberon, and followed by...

Oil Oil & Pistachio Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches (dulce de leche ice cream). Paired with Bell's Special Double Cream Stout.

No, I don't own Bell's stock. Just happened to grab a whole bunch last time I went to Total Wine.

Oven ribs rubbed with liquid smoke, baked at 275°F for three+ hours and broiled with a home-made mango chili glaze. A salad of cherry tomatoes from the garden and whatever salad fixings are left in the crisper.

With DH off on a trip to Ohio, tonight will be clean out the fridge night. I've got baked chicken, shrimp creole, braised country pork ribs, herbed and buttered orzo, rice, tomatoes with basil vinegrette, and rum/coffee chocolate cake that the kids and I will surely enjoy the second time around. Heat and eat baby!

Something with caramelized onions. When I get a craving for them, I'll eat them on just about anything.

Marinated Beef Skewers grilled to perfection, Grilled Corn on the Cob and some pasta with a tomato sauce.

crockpot potatoes au gratin and ham

@bitchincamero~your recipe for arroz con pollo was my inspiration for last night's dinner. Everyone loved it. Thanks!

Italian sausages with onions, peppers, mushrooms and zucchini, browned, then a quick simmer in sauce. Served over hot pasta.
Corn on the cob (?-still deciding) Cucumber slices with chives and dill.

(We're swimming in vegetables....) Not complaining though!

Tonight is Al Pastor at one of the local taqueria/carniceria. It's a Friday-Saturday only dish at this place, and it's the only one in town that makes it. The parking lot for the taqueria and the neighboring doughnut shop are both packed with customers buying Al Pastor tacos. Tonight, I will be among them.

how weird!!? I am grilling better cheddars right now!

@Squeeze bottle...that sounds wonderful.....leftovers, pls? (0=

local pork chops roasted over local peaches
cream gravy
with rice
quinoa (for me)
green beans from the garden with butter

for dessert - dark chocolate bark with chile lime pistachios

malbec

carry out pizza from the shop up the street where all the employees only speak Italian (and boy do I love trying to get food from them when the soccer match is on TV...distracted much?)

Unless I can figure out where @pooch lives, in which case I'll be dropping in there.

Roasted red pepper quinoa.

AliceBlue - not if I get there first!

All of my goodies from my CSA share this week with curry seasoning: Beets, greens, summer squash, kohlrabi, local millet, in a marinara sauce with herbs, and beets (I live in WY which is apparently the beet capital of the nation.

@dhorst - that's great! Glad you liked it and thanks for reminding me I want to make some soon :)

We're five hours ahead of EDT here, so this is Saturday's menu. I have some ravioli stuffed with spinach, sauteed mushrooms and ricotta, and our landlords have dozens of tomato plants which I help look after in exchange for some of the loot. So ravioli in a chunky fresh tomato and basil sauce, with some breadmaker bread. And a lot of parmesan (we go through it like lightning around here). I might wander down to the shop and see if they have any nice smoked mozzarella; I love to cut it into small cubes and chuck it into the sauce just after taking it off the heat.

I made Gumbo, good lord was it tasty! Chicken, sausage, and Tiger shrimp.
