Squash Blossoms?
Saw them at the farmer's market and am craving them - can anyone recommend a good place in NYC that serves them?

Noooooooo - make them yourself!!!
You can dip them in your favorite beer batter and deep fry them. Salt right out of the oil.
I also like to stuff them with either Greek or Italian ingredients - the main component of the stuffing is rice. Cook some rice till almost done but still toothy. Add olive oil, chopped capers, olives, fresh parsley, chopped garlic, S&P and stuff the flowers about half full. Fold the empty portion of the petals under the stuffed flower and place in a baking dish sprayed with veg spray. They should fit snugly. Pour chicken stock over the flowers till just covered. Bake in a 350 oven about 40 minutes. Garnish with cheese.
For Greek, I usually chop dill and parsley with garlic and maybe a piece of feta - complete procedure as above.
As far as restaurants go - they would probably not even be listed on the menu as they are a very seasonal thing and might be listed as a "special."

do you wash the blossoms first?

I was hoping to see some good ones at the farmer's market this year but everytime I saw them they were already almost wilted and very pricey. Alas.

When I get my blossoms in the spring they are fresh from the field and sometimes there are little bugs down inside. I gently let them fill up with water to float the bug out. If you purchase the blossoms in the afternoon they may be hard to fill. I fill mine with a mixture of mozzarella cheese, ricotta, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. They get baked in a 350 deg. oven for 30 min.

@therealchiffonade -- You've inspired me to try making them! The last couple of years, I've been eyeing my blossoms meaning to do something with them. Just going to bite the bullet this weekend.
