RIP Sheila Lukins
So sad. From her I learned about Serrano ham got ideas for beautiful flavor combinations I would have never thought up myself, like combining apricots and mustard.

Surprise not a lot of news venues reporting about her passing. Didn't her cookbook just celebrate it's 25th anniversary?

Oops, wrong author (re: cookbook anniversary), but I've always like reading Sheila Lukins books and recipes.

She will be missed.
Her legacy lives on in The Silver Palate Cookbook.
RIP Ms. Lukins.

Loved the Silver Palate when it first came out. So exotic, at the time.

Very sad! Her Silver Palate Cookbook was my bible when I first began to entertain. I used her recipes for brunch, cocktail, and many a dinner party. I spent way too much on incredible ingredients and loved every minute of it. Her cookbooks helped make me a confident cook and hostess.
