Tailgating... oh yeah baby.

Posted by happyeats, August 16, 2009

Football season is upon us and there is no better of an excuse to cook some friggen awesome tailgating food.

Yesterday I went to the Pre-season Titans game in Nashville and was reminded how amazing food that is cooked from the back of a pickup can be. About 20 of us all gathered around three grills under the south side entrance all drinking beer and trying to outdo each other with delicious food. There were tables lined in a row awaiting what was to come off the grill. We ate Cajun style pork chops, steak kabobs with an amazing sauce that I wish I could have got the recipe for. We had smoked Asian/American fusion coleslaw, burgers, brats, dogs, onion rings, fries, wings, oysters, Caribbean shrimp salad, ribs, chicken and more that I am sure I am forgetting...

I love this time of year.

What is you favorite tailgating or football watching food?
