Momofuku Milk Bar Blueberry and Cream Cookies
I got a recipe from Martha Stewart's website for Blueberry and Cream cookies. Has anyone either tried making this recipe or eaten the cookies at Momofuku Milk Bar? It's a multistage recipe so I want to see how it really tastes before I attempt it at home.

They're really good cookies but I think a little too much labor for what they're worth. As much as I love baking, I probably am too lazy to make the milk crumbs for these cookies.
I wouldn't mind paying for one, though. They are tasty, they're kind of like little blueberry cake thingies. Hard to explain, but good!

I checked the recipe out and I agree with charm city cupcake. This is a "honey bunches crunches and oats" trick. You add texture and flavor to the cookie by making the milk crumbs. My elbow would taste great in Plugra and white chocolate. Anything that brings texture and flavor is fine. However it is really something I would not make.

Interesting. I looked this up, and it doesn't seem that challenging. I mean, you have to make the milk crumbs first, and then put them into the cookies, but there didn't seem to be any tricky moves involved. Making custard and then churning it into ice cream is a two-step process. Making a cake and making frosting and then assembling it is two or three steps, depending on how you count the assembly...
I was thinking that I'd give this a try, subbing chocolate chips for the blueberries. I don't have dried blueberries on hand, and I'm not that big a fan of dried fruits that I want to run out and get some just for these cookies.

I live too far away to go and buy them, but want to try them. In general, I'm that person who tries things at a restaurant or sees something on tv and then tries to make it themselves.
I will keep everyone updated when I finally make these.

These are really good. I made about 50 cookies out of the recipe, and I did use light Karo for the glucose, and ordinary butter. Then one tsp. of salt is plenty. Aldi sells dried blueberries in a bag, and I used the whole bag. They get better if they sit in a covered container for one day. If you make 14 cookies, they would be the size of dinner plates, I think.
