If we are including aromas, I have to offer bread or cookies baking. The food is also excellent but the smell is like heaven.

The heavenly scent of tamales that blasts you when you lift the lid on the steamer- and then eating the cheese tamales, of course. Also, the smell of onions and garlic cooking. I swear I could eat a bowl of sauteed or caramelized onions and garlic.

@ dmarina - I'm with you. I start my own plants, and can't wait until they are just big enough to brush against for that scent.
But also bread and apple pie.
For scents alone that make me feel I've died and gone to heaven it's sweet peas and nasturtiums.

@pjracz: agreed! one of the most fulfilling feelings one can possibly have --admist family and warmth, of course.
GOAT CHEESE. I dunno..it has an eerily seductive effect on me!

Well, the scent of leather does it for me...
As far as food goes, with so many wonderful aromas, it's so hard to decide! I suppose my husband's beef stew. Or maybe grilled meat.

Any food someone else is cooking for me! Roasted anything, garlic, apple pie, chili, cookies.
