Looking for a suckling pig
A friend and I have got the crazy idea in our noggins to try to cook a suckling pig. Now we just need to find a source. We are in the Seattle metro area, but are willing to mail-order in need be. Any suggestions?

I know there are places in international district where you can get a whole roast suckling pig, but if you're looking for uncooked I'd go to one of the butchers at the local farmer's markets and see if you can order a whole pig from them. I've worked in restaurants too where we've gotten them in from area farms. You could try Skagit River Ranch - I think they do organic pork.

Can't you order something from a butcher in Pike's Place market?

I don't know Seattle, (although I'm going there for the first time in a couple weeks - recommendations welcome!) but in Brooklyn, I find that the best place to find something like that to be the Latin Carnicerias. Ask for a lechon.
