I could eat ______ every day and not get sick of it.

as I start another year of college, and faced with the sameness of campus food, i wonder, what foods can you guys stand to eat almost every day and not get sick of it? for me its pasta. and sub sandwiches.

60 Comments:

sushi, noodles, paninis. and popcorn.

Vietnamese cold rolls/bun. Authentic NY bagels. Bi bim bap. Toast or crackers with peanut butter. That's probably about it.

(I like carbs.)

second the sushi, any pasta, eggplant parm and popcorn...oh how i love popcorn.

Buttered toast and over-easy eggs. I know this cause I've been eating them everyday for the past month.

sushi and bialys toasted with butter

tacos and pasta.

sushi for sure, cheese and crackers, pizza (as long as I could change the toppings), burritos, ice cream

sushi for sure, though that is pretty incompatible with college budgets! :P

I had a pretty good run eating my way through a lot of frozen homemade eggplant parm for a while there. With noodles, as a sandwich, I loved it more each day.

I also often do the same breakfast every day for months. One season it was mini-miffin-sized stratas, another it was breakfast burritos.

i forgot about french fries, too!!

popcorn definitely here,
I fourth the sushi,
papas goulash with local wild mushrooms over steamed potatoes,
cucumber and dill salad,
turkey and cranberry sauce sandwiches, toasted please,
Idahohan brand instant mashed potatoes,
fresh tuna,
russian king crab,
cuban chickpea salad with black beans,

oh no this list is just too long. Ill stop now.

Hummus and toasted pitas.

sushi
sweet n salty chex mix
honey bunches of oats with almonds cereal
avocados
chocolate

One of the local Chinese places makes a Lion's Head meatball that I could pretty much live on for the rest of my days. Guess I know what lunch is.

My granola. I'm in loooove with it:) I generally hate monotony and eating leftovers is a stretch but for some reason I've looked forward to eating my granola every morning for the past 2 years! That's long for any relationship let alone with a breakfast item. I see a very long and happy future for the two of us.

Definitely pasta. Actually, I think I do eat it every day.

Did I forget to mention eggs?

I could eat eggs everyday too.

Ramen and pho.

Oh, red = health, blue = mana.

Oatmeal. I pretty much do eat it every day too.
Pasta.
Cereal...at least certain kinds.

Italian bread.
Seafood -- whatever kind...fish, shellfish, shrimp...can't get enough of it.

Chicken wings.

vietnamese noodles or pho

Pasta and bread... I love carbs

I have eaten toast with peanut butter every morning (OK - 6/7 days per week) for at least 30 yrs. It gets a little fuzzy before then - I remember having Shreddies sometimes... And I look forward to it every morning when I wake up.

I love peanut butter on toast, have you tried it with a little Siracha drizzeled on?

Pizza because you can switch around the toppings all you want and it has cheese on it which is something that I consume daily anyways. As for the sauces on pizza I can switch around.

tomatoes
apples
almonds

Poached eggs with runny yolks, side of sourdough toast. I eat them for breakfast about two thirds of the time.

Ditto on the pizza. Breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Ooohhh! Chicken wings, I could definitely eat those every day. What is it about the chicken wing that is so effing good?

Chicken.
In any form.

sushi
pizza
boiled whole Maine lobster, female please

I could eat chicken everyday and not get sick of it.

I could eat chicken everyday and not get sick of it.

fruit
pizza
french fries

oh people, what's this sushi craze?

for me: properly cooked Koshi-hikari (rice) with high quality umeboshi.

Sushi, baked chicken and pasta.

Noodles, which typically for me means soba, ramen, pho or Thai noodle dishes like pad thai or pad kee mow. I had cold soba today in fact. Yum.

Just noticed a couple of others who said pho or ramen. Awesome!

I don't think I could eat anything every single day and continue to give it full appreciation. Scramble eggs on toast is up there, but even then I'd get bored. Variety is the spice of life.

I do have a good Dining Hall suggestion for you for when the entree vegetable offerings look less that stellar: I used to take broccoli and shredded cheddar cheese from the salad bar and pop it in the microwave. At least then you can control doneness.

PAD THAI PAD THAI, that and special k with 2 percent milk. could eat this everyday and be happy

In my entire life I have never turned down an orange, tangerine, clementine, etc. I just love them.

I actually start every day with an apple

other than that:
nutella
honey mustard
lamb
salmon
cookies and cream ice cream

yogurt
cheese
tortilla chips
cocktail peanuts with all the salt and oil (none of those dry-roasted things)
tuna fish salad

rice (a little garlic and more butter)

I too started at least 30years of my life with toast and peanut butter every morning, but also with a banana. Don't always anymore, but could.

potstickers.

Pasta (How do I love thee, let me count the ways...)

hummus/pita
cereal
popcorn
peanut butter

Pizza
Nutella-spoonfuls straight from the jar
Popcorn
Cheese
Peanut butter toast
Cocktail peanuts (with a cold Kona Longboard)

I could eat soft boiled eggs every day with my toast soldiers also
beef,
chocolate peanut butter ice cream
anything with butter on it, I love butter
cherries
oh the list will go on and on

Boxed mac and cheese (annie's with white cheddar is amazing), carpaccio, potatoes, caprese salads, avocados

I eat eggs and greens pretty much every day - sometimes together, sometimes separately.

When I was gestating in the mid-70s, my mom's OB/GYN advised her to eat an egg a day. It's all their fault that I still do. Eggs are why I can't be vegan. That and the occasional stinky cheese.

The other things I can eat every day constitute a frenzy of beige: my own whole-wheat bread, pasta of all kinds, and potatoes. A low-carb diet would kill me with sadness.

Buffalo Wings
Lamb Shwarma
Buttermilk Biscuits
Any kind of pork

Sushi!

Perhaps they sprinkle just the tiniest bit of crack before they roll it? Would explain the addiction.
Also, cereal, french bread, and pho.

My husband would say a hot turkey sandwich or pizza. We worked at diner 20+ years ago and he had a hot turkey sandwich every day for breakfast around 9:30 after the morning rush. We also worked together at a pizzeria for a few years before that (I made the pies and he delivered--no pervey comments please) and to this day he will eat pizza as often as I will make it for him--he just varries his crust type and toppings every so often. But 9 out 10 he'll ask for NY style crust with pepperoni, mushrooms and onion.
Me--Crowley large curd cottage cheese with a homemade roll or triscuits and a pickle.

Lol so many people say sushi! I do get tired of the rice.

I worked at a freebirds and ate there at least once a day every day and never got sick of it! Think about what's in those things: meat, unleavened bread, rice, beans, roots, berries, salts, acids, everything! If space aliens made human kibble, it'd be freebirds.

Oh and msbojangles888, its not crack, its msg.

OH MAN.... Sashimi, Seaweed, Hamachi Kama, Salmon Skin, Salmon Belly, Tonnino Jarred Tuna in Olive Oil, Whole Eggs, Ground Ostrich & Beef, Cherry Tomatoes, Bell Peppers, Eel, Escolar, Chilean Sea Bass, Scallops, Shrimp.... oh man, I am making myself hungry!

eggs any style
eggplant parmagiana
angel hair pasta with marinara sauce
cheese and bread
potatoes any style
