HELP: Chocolate Cake challenge (Need Flourless Vegan recipe)

My friends bday is in a couple of days and I want to make her a chocolate cake. However, I have a few challenges.

First off, she is allergic to eggs, secondly, she is allergic to
gluten, thirdly, she is allergic to soy, and fourthly, she is allergic to nuts, so no almond flour or any other type of nut flour can be used.

I found out it is very hard to make a cake with these restrictions, but it's not impossible.

Would you happen to know of a recipe without these ingredients OR a site or anyone you would know that would have some insight on this?

I do know the cake would be very dense...but it's still worth a shot!

Thank you all!!

oh, sorry, i just read your requirements. back to the drawing board.

thaks for the suggestion..its tough, but i was just thinking, in regards to the flour, this person is allergic to gluten, so maybe ther eis a recipe using rice flour?

I know you said chocolate CAKE, but perhaps some type of chocolate mousse or pudding could work, too? Or, better yet, how bout a Chocolate Ice Cream Cake? Then, you could still put candles in it and present it in the same way as a regular cake.

For a summer birthday, it might just hit the spot. I don't have any recipes to recommend, but I'm sure there are a bounty of recipes and variations out there!

joy the baker put up this cake not so long ago -- can you sub rice or quinoa flour? yes, I see that she uses almond oil but she says "or anything that you have on hand" which I think walnut oil would be nice?

I hope this one meets all the requirements. I've never made it. It looks like it requires some subs like egg substitute and xanthan gum. The xanthan is easy enough to find these days, but I've never heard of that egg substitute.

use spelt flour for the flour, zucchini or beets, applesauce or bananas for egg component. I've made a wheat-free, sugar free, dairy free, vegan chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache. I'll have to look for my recipe....

thanks for all the suggestions!!!

@hefloats: if i were to sub applesauce for the eggs, how much applesauce do i sub for one or two eggs?

I know Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World has a gluten-free recipe, but I can't recall if it contains nut flour (I know Isa's standard gluten-free baking mix uses almond flour). You could search the book on Amazon and see.

If you have a gluten-free, nut-free recipe, you can probably "veganize" it if it has two eggs or less. 1 tbsp ground flax seeds (is she okay with seeds) and 3 tbsp water equals 1 egg. You can also use 1 banana for 1 egg (but it will taste like banana), Ener-G egg replacer or nondairy yogurt (I think the only soy-free, nut-free one is ricera). If you find a gluten-free, nut-free flour replacement, you could perhaps make Wacky Cake.

Is your friend Zooey Deschanel, by any chance?

I have a recipe for a delicious chocolate cake that does not include eggs at all. When I made it, I used spelt. It offers barley flour as alternative , which I know contains gluten too. You may be able to substitute the flour for rice, oat or tapioca flour or one of those gluten-free flour mixes in a natural food store. We used ghirardelli cocoa powder and the taste as AMAZING!!!

If you're still interested, let me know where I can e-mail it to you. It's not super long, but I would have to transcribe it or scan it. And scanning it sounds way simpler...

Your friend is not allergic to coconut oil, right??
