Going to the beach, seafood recipes needed!

After what seems like a sizeable portion of my life toiling away at my desk job I have finally stumbled upon a full week of vacation.
I will be heading to the Gulf Coast tomorrow for some much needed fishing, margarita drinking, and R&R on the beach.

Most commonly caught eating fish out there is whiting or redfish. I plan on filet'ing all of my catch becasue I'm not a huge fan of gutting. Shrimp, crab, lobsters, and oysters are easily purchased at any store, and I'm not too worried about how much I spend.

The condo's we're renting don't have much inside in the way of cooking except a microwave and a toaster, they do however have grills outside.

I would love to hear your seafood recipes, especially anything that involves a grill. Thanks in advance and I hope everyone has a great weekend!

What we used to do (100 years ago) was to get a mess of shrimp and beer, build a fire on the beach, take some wire coat hangers from the rental and BBQ the shrimp brushed with a little garlic butter.b :>)

Wrap a fillet in bacon (or pancetta or parma ham) and chuck it on the grill. Rub the fillet with whatever herbs you like, and a bit of pepper. You don't need any added salt or oil. You can also do this with large shrimp. Simple salads alongside. Have a great time!

I think that one of the best things is some simply grilled squid. I've done it twice on my blog, simply with some lemon juice, olive oil, and S&P, and then once marinated with lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, cayenne, a mashed clove of garlic and some salt, both of which were delicious. And if you buy it frozen, it defrosts fast and tastes pretty fresh, which saves a lot of cash. Enjoy the beach!

I just got back from the beach doing some night fishing, caught a 14" pigfish.

Should be good eating, Thanks for your recipes I think shrimp will be on the side!
