Fish and Meat Market, DC?

Recently I visited my parents in NY. We went to a wonderful Meat market. Such FRESH fish and such variety. I was wondering if anyone knew of a great fish and or meat market around the DC area? More specifically in the suburbs. I saw there was one in Great falls, so I might try that. But it'd be fun to go to the city to a fish market!
Thanks!!

There is a fish market in SW (DC). It's an interesting place and definitely worth a trip sometime.

For fish, I'd try any of Korean grocery stores.

H Mart in Wheaton has good fresh fish, and they just renovated their fish counter so it's not as intimidating for those not accustomed to old school Asian grocery stores!

Would love to hear if anyone can recommend some places in DC proper...

Why not make a day of it and go to Eastern Market on the Hill? There's a butcher and fish monger as well as the standard farmer's market fare. Plus, the crepes from the crepe guy are divine.

The wonderful indoor Eastern Market in D.C. is a good recommendation. Good meat and fish purveyors. Also the popular outdoor Maine Ave. Fish Market is always bustling with fresh fish and seafood, on Water St. in D.C.
