Daisy May's rustic creamy corn with NY state cheddar

Does anyone have a recipe for this? I've searched the web extensively but most hits are for corn creamed cheese or some variation. This side was mind-bogglingly good and I wanted to serve it alongside some spares this weekend. Thanks!

try making this with the ingredients that your mouth remembers, i use fresh corn or well rinsed canned, fry about 6 slices of bacon, crush the bacon then quickly saute the corn in the fat. i then transfer the corn and bacon into a pot and add sharp cheddar cheese. (leave the bacon fat where it is). don't have any idea as to what your looking for but the best way to learn to cook is to screw up a dish and then learn from it.
