Waffle Party!!!
I'm hosting a girl's sleepover in a couple weeks.... 8-10 of my girlfriends will be in attendance, and we thought it would be fun to have a "waffle party"... Half of us have waffle irons ( I guess all the plugins in the kitchen will be full LOL).
What kind of ideas can u come up with for interesting waffles? Sweet and savory, I'd like to have a couple unexpected options... I thought of a jalepeno-cheddar-cornbread waffle maybe with chorizo, onions, etc... Peanut butter waffles... any more ideas?

Oooooh - I just recently had maple waffles with crumbled bacon in them... I swear I could have eaten 100 of them!

We used to make waffle sundaes in our cafeteria. Reese's pieces in the waffle and then a hot fudge sundae on top.

FUNNY! I did think of maple & bacon (or sausage) in the batter, chicken strip on top, AND of course translating my Grandma's legendary banana nut recipe into a waffle... bananas foster sauce?!? Mmm sourdough could be interesting...
Keep the suggestions coming!! Awesome!

I would do a traditional Belgian liege waffle. It is time consuming (they use yeast in the batter). But the waffles are delicious and really need no topping - however some ice cream or chocolate sauce would also be nice.
I know they recently posted on The Kitchn a recipe.
Also didn't serious eats just post brownie waffles?

This may be an unpopular sentiment, but butter and really good syrup and/or butter and honey can't be beat....

I agree with beth 1 fried chicken, chicken wings, homemade chicken tenders, bacon. blueberry compote and whipped cream. I am so jealous, I wish I could come lol.

No matter what make sure you have real maple syrup- I can't understand why people would buy the fake stuff. I vote for putting some cocoa in the batter, chocolate waffles are great with sliced banana and/or strawberries.
