Truffles
Where can I find truffles in manhattan (black summer specifically)? So far I have only seen them at Chelsea markets but are there any other places to purchase them in the city?

I've never had truffles...can someone explain to me why the foodie world is obsessed? Are they really SO good?

The truffles at whole foods are Chinese. They are not the real thing. What you want is French or Italian truffles. Oregon truffles are good too, but not the same level. Chinese truffles are pretty much garbage.
