Saratoga Springs, NY eateries
I'm going to be in Saratoga Springs, NY, mid next week and I was wondering if anyone knows of any place to grab a quick bite to eat. It'll be for dinner after a long day. Not looking for anything fancy, just a quick burger, burrito, sandwich, etc, etc.
Thanks, and good eats!

Mama Mia's pizzeria on Ballston Ave (it's maybe a 1/2 mile to a mile from downtown) is the best pizza i've ever had. They have a more "upscale" restaurant section in the back, but the front is just a diner/take-away counter. They have a lot of authentic Italian dishes to offer, but their white pizza is incredible. It's all made in this beautiful brick oven right in the front of the restaurant. Definitely worth checking out.

PJs Barbeque on the outskirts of town right on that main road. A little salty but fun atmosphere.

Mexican Connection! Massive chimichangas and tequila bar, I could eat their chips and salsa all day long.
The Ripe Tomato - American grill
Ravenous - sweet and savory crepes, pomme frites
Eugenio's Cafe Gelato
I also second tug's recommendation for PJ's BBQ, order the 1/2 chicken 1/2 ribs combo with mac salad
Have fun in Toga! Bet on one of the horsies for me :-)

Thanks, all. These are some great suggestions and I'll look more into them and can decided when I'm up there. And, yea, the trip is for a job interview, so there will be no fun day at the races for me. Wish me luck. And again, thanks!

A local favorite is the Esperanto's doughboy.
Also, Hattie's is known nationally for their fried chicken. Skip any suggestions for Wheatfields (bo-ring), and definitely try Mrs. London's and Max London's. Mrs. does great desserts and coffee, and her son Max has a great menu of fancy pants pizzas and small plates.

Wow this is really great. I was looking for some new place to eat and I never thought that there could a lot of good places to dine-in in Saratoga Springs.

Try Ravenous for a crepe, the best fries around and an Ommegang.

El Mariachis it's just off exit 13 from I-87
I'm a big fan of the chorizo burrito. It's as close to authentic as I've ever had in Upstate NY.
