Good Veggie Burger Recipe Wanted

I'm having a picnic for the 4th and have a vegetarian friend coming. Since everyone else will get fresh, super yummy food, I want her to have the same! I've been searching online for a veggie burger recipe, but all the recipes I've read sound so bland and boring.
Any suggestions are welcome!
