Do Singles Bars in NYC Exist?
I am in my mid-twenties and wondering where a young, single woman should go to meet someone? Since I'm not interested in going to either dive/taverns, sports, or fratboy bars - does such a place exist?

if you're freaked out about internet dating, just think of it as going to a singles bar where everyone has a resume stapled to their forehead.

I thought this entire city was a singles bar. Kidding, bad joke from a married person. Seriously though, I've never heard of such a thing actually existing in modern day NY. I know a lot of bars hold speed dating events at times, but that's about all I can think of.
