Charlie Sheen's Hand-Crank Nigiri Sushi Machine?

So, I was watching the movie "Wall Street" the other day... yeah, the one with Michael Douglas.
At one point Charlie Sheen and Daryl Hannah are making sushi for dinner in Sheen's totally awesome 80's decorated hi-rise apartment and they use this little hand-crank nigiri sushi forming machine.
Fast forward two days, and I'm still poking around the internet to confirm the existence of such an amazing little contraption. So far no such luck!
Can anybody confirm the actual existence of this magical device?
Do(or did) any of you own one?
How much did that puppy cost?

i'm just wondering and i thought you guys would be the ones in the know!

There are nigiri molds where you just press and it shapes the nigiri for you but I've never seen a hand crank gadget for the purpose

But...there's this:BANDAI Futomaki/Norimaki maker

Maybe the SHAMWOW guy will invent one.

OMG. that Bandai maki maker commercial is adorable! Japan is awesome.

The gadget i'm looking for was machine to make rice balls for nigiri, not maki. It looked like it had a hopper on the top for the rice and then the little perfect ovals of rice popped out the bottom when you turn the crank.

I hunt it down for you..

They said it was discontinued after 2 years. sorry!

commercial ones are still sold, though.

I know of nigiri molds that @fuuchan mentioned.
It seems like a lot of English online shops are mixing up Onigiri and nigiri, so just be careful not to get the rice ball (=onigiri) molds. they are way too big.

Thanks hmw!
the google translation of that page is a riot.
I still can't figure out what the machine was called.

LOL, the google translation is horrible and hilarious!!!!

it's called "Nigirikko" (not Girikko), and the American comedian's name is Kent Derricott. he apparently did TV commercial for the sushi maker but I was too young to remember that.

The simple press nigiri molds (the non electric types) can be found at bigger H marts. I haven't seen them at Mitsuwa, surprisingly enough.

But the kitchenwares sections of H Marts often have all kinds of neat food gadgets.
