Bachelor party needs suggestions for Sat. nightlife in Philly

There are 9 guys total and after dinner at Morimoto this Saturday we're not really sure what we're going to get in to next. Strip-clubs aren't really our thing since we've all seen it before. We're looking for an area we can bar hop if needed or a waterfront bar that is upbeat enough to handle 9 loud drunk guys. We'd like to avoid the club scene and live music unless its a sweet 80s cover band. The bachelor really wanted to find a place we could hang out on the water but after some extensive searching I haven't really been able to find anything that's not a club.

We leave Saturday morning and I think I'm running out of places to turn for advice. Help me out with some suggestions if you've got them!

Thanks.

I just got back from a bachelor party on a Saturday night in Philly. However ours was slightly strip club involved. . . When we weren't in the club we hopped about Center City and the assorted places near there. We had dinner in a brew pub called Nodding Head which had some good beers and OK food. They had one beer which the group couldn't come to a consensus on, aptly named monkey knife fight. Some loved it and some hated it. There were other little bars and stuff on the street where we hopped around a bit. Cheap drinks rock n roll jukebox and the Phillies game on TV. All were casual and decent enough. And our cabbie recommended an after hours place but I'm not sure where it was by that point.

I'm not from Philly so I can't be more helpful but have a good time.

You probably want to stick to Old City. There isn't really a 'waterfront' scene here, but it's the nicest concentration of upscale bars in the city in my opinion. Triumph Brewing Company and The Plough and the Stars are two nice spots that I'm personally fond of.

The Plough and Stars has excellent food! I've only been there for food so I don't know about the drinks situation.

Delaware Ave? There's usually quite alot going on there.

I really like Triumph, that place looks great. Upon searching other places nearby I also found Eulogy Bar. These places look along the lines of where we want to go if we can't do waterfront.

Any opinions on Monk's versus Eulogy?
