A 'Julia Child Rose' grows in the Bronx...
I know it's a bit offbeat...but with the new film about our iconic American-born French chef Julia Child about to debut, I thought it would be interesting for fans to know that there is an aromatic 'Julia Child Rose' that grows somewhere in the beautiful New York Botanical Garden. See if you can find it and let us know...
Also, if you are visiting D.C. by all means visit the Julia Child kitchen exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History, part of the Smithsonian. A real charmer...they actually brought her original Cambridge, Mass. kitchen gadget by gadget along with memorabilia and ongoing videos of her cooking shows. When we went it was nice to see foodies of all ages coming to pay homage...
