Where can I get a good Pupusa in the city?
I had a good Pupusa in NJ. I tried some in Brooklyn, but they aren't that good. I had a Mexican version too. I think I had the pupusa de arroz with chicharron ( chopped pork) and cheese. Are there El Salvadoran resturants in the city that have them?
So far, I was told to check Red Hook fields, and Enes Bakery in Brooklyn.

For those who are curious, here is an article on pupusa.
There is a a large number of variations on the theme and they are an excellent item for the gutter merchant trade.

The best pupusas that I have had are at El Cerrito on McDonald Ave (just under the F train at Kings Highway). It's a trek from Manhattan, but I don't know of any Salvadoran restaurants in the city.

Gutter Merchant: Someone who sells thing from the side of the road. Some of the most sublime food and some of the tackiest art ever made is sold that way.

Where in NJ did you get good pupusas? I'm dying for some after my visit to San Francisco a few weeks ago!

La Fonda De Tia Rosa 109 Somerset St, North Plainfield, NJ 07060-4829. Its far from the city though. Its a hole in the wall.So far this is the best I had. That might change after I go to Red Hook or El Cerrito.

You can find pupusas in Manhattan, too, although unless you live in El Alto it's still a trek:
