The usual suspects would be Alain Ducasse, Jean Georges, Le Bernardin, Per Se, Chanterelle... They are not in season right now so this wouldn't be the best time. But you probably know that since it appears you are in the Italian truffle business.

Hmph! Iffen yore gonna eat truffles or anything with truffles in it here in the States you had best bring plenty of cash. Same thing goes for porcinis or anything with porcinis in it.

I'm mystified by the hostility of the commenters! Is there any reason to suspect a hidden agenda when someone asks where to eat truffles in NYC? Even if that person is in the truffle export business? Perhaps she merely is curious? Is there a reason not to give her the benefit of the doubt?
I clicked through to see who "this guy" was that Francesca sounds suspiciously like, and that was even more horrific. The amount of scorn and derision heaped on that poor person's head for...for what? For wondering if people knew about a technique well-known in her/his region?
And, you know, even if a person is a shill or a front of some kind--how does it improve the situation to be so rude?
