Suggestions for Portland, ME? (or near Bath?)
I'm going to be in Maine next weekend for a wedding. I'm flying into the Portland and the wedding is going to be closer to the Bath area.
Anyone know of places I shouldn't miss out on?
I'm willing to eat anything. Seriously.

We love Fore Street in Portland (on Fore St). Street and Co. is very good too ( both are in The Old Port), I think they are or were run by the same people. Fore Street has big brick oven with a spit, copper table tops and a lot of local food.

Check this out...http://blog.typeadiversions.com/. this blog has reviews of a lot of the more popular restaurants in the Greater Portland area...and I don't think Fore Street and Street and Co. are run by the same people...I've never heard that before. Personal favorite is Ribolita but there are so many great places to eat in the area... :)

We eat at Fore Street every year on our way to Bailey Island. It is great. You will not have a bad meal.
We did Street & Co. one year --- it was pretty good, but not terrific. There are a lot of other very good restaurants -- Hugo's, Back Bay Grill, etc. Check out the Best Restaurants in Portland in the blog sammie referenced (thanks, sammie!)
For lunch, try Duck Fat for their fries -- out of this world. For breakfast, the sticky buns at Standard Baking Co. (underneath Fore Street) are great.
And if you're near Cook's Corner (it's on the way to Bath), a stop at Fat Boy is a must.
