Slip-n-Slide Food

My friends are hosting a summer slip-n-slide party, and I'd like to bring a potluck dish that matches the theme. I've already decided I'm bringing vodka soaked pineapple, but I need something to balance out the booze. Any ideas?

are you asking about slip-n-slide food .... meaning food that slips 'n slides into your mouth and down your throat?

raw clams or oysters on the half shell or shooters.... would be my first suggestion.

maybe some long slippery noodles ....? with a light sesame dressing.

i'm slipping 'n sliding into sleepy-ness.....

Sorry I should clarify: There will be a slip-n-slide at this backyard summer bash. The food does not have to be slippery, just appropriate for the season and cheap for a group.

i'm currently obsessed with watermelon/mint/feta salads (last time i threw in some dill too cos it just smelled so good at the store)...toss it lightly in some balsamic vinaigrette and you have a salad that feeds a group and gets thrown together super quick.

I was thinking of a completely different approach that fits the slip and slide theme, foods like white castle and taco bell may work ;) lol, sorry I couldn't help myself!!

@twoojoe - Good one.

Well...there was the recent Cheeseball Potluck now it's the Slip N Slide Potluck. What's next? Seriously...what's next? It's too early for me to come up with a clever answer.

Sliders (too obvious?)
What about foods that remind you of childhood summers - popsicles?

Bring a bottle of dish detergent.....put it on the slide n watch em go !

Jello shots.

Is this a retro-themed party? How 'bout kooky-decorated cupcakes with little gummi fish on them? Or Ritz Crackers and cheddar cheese? pinwheel sandwiches, veggie and non-veg pigs in a blanket, classic spinach dip and bread....

And of course water balloons...

water balloons = genius

@Sweet E: Of course, if you don't like the people who are the targets of your balloons, food dye or unmade Jell-O mix in the balloons is also a nice addition ;)
