Recommendation for Conference Lunch in Midtown NYC Needed
I'm helping put together a conference that my organization is hosting; guests include members of the World Bank, local nonprofits and city officials, charitable foundation board members, etc. There will be a break during which most of the attendees will be going out for lunch. We're located at 34th and 5th Ave, and I'm trying to find a place that's walkable from here. There are 32 guests, so it needs to be able to accomodate a large group. Todai Sushi was recommended to me earlier, but is unfortunately no longer in business. If anyone knows of a similar place in Koreatown, with a menu that could accomodate a wide variety of tastes/dietary concerns, that'd be particularly helpful, but I'll look into any and all places.Thank you!

Todai still exists, but it's called Ichi Umi now. It's a giant sushi buffet, and could probably easily accommodate your party if you book in advance.

artisanal (french, cheeses) on 32nd street is huge and could handle that size crowd.
hangawi (also on 32nd) is smaller, you could rent out the whole space for lunch. i think they have a prix fixe for groups. it's korean vegetarian - everything is very flavorful and the space inside is really interesting (you sit on the floor). i don't usually "do" vegetarian but this place made me not care that there wasn't any meat.
