Martha Stewart will help kick off the festivities at the lovely New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx this weekend...themed: 'The Edible Garden, a summer long celebration of growing great food'. There will also be guest participation by such chefs as Dan Barber, Mario Batali, Lidia
Bastianich, Emeril Lagasse, Daisy Martinez and others. The program will run thru Sept. 13. For further info: nybg.org

Revisited the Gardens on Sunday and walked thru Martha's herb garden...not only is it in full bloom but it is lovely! You can tap into the commentary right on your cell phone. Also tried Martha's herbed iced tea being dispensed at the food concessions and decided it is quite flavorful and refreshing.
Looking forward to attending one of the Thursday evening culinary demos at the new Conservatory kitchen too featuring a cross section from Arthur Ave./Little Italy to garden vegetable grilling. nybg.org
