L'ecole Dress Code
Just wondering what the dress code would be for L'ecole for a Friday lunch - taking the train to Penn (eta of 10am), eating lunch, going to the theater. We will be walking the whole time, so if this would be a problem attire wise, please specify.
Thanks!

Open Table advises that's it's business casual at L'Ecole. Nice pants and a polo would be fine for a guy if it's hot outside. As a woman, I would just wear a simple light weight dress and have a cardigan if it gets chilly in the place (and it's always chilly in the theater!) I think as long as you're tidy, you'll be fine. It's not overly fancy.

I don't believe these's any dress code at L'Ecole. During the several times that I've been there, I've seen some people dressed in jeans and sneakers whereas others in cocktail dresses and suits. The vast majority, however, fell somewhere in the middle of the spectrum.
Either a light weight dress, as suggested by meem21, or a nice top plus skirt/a pair of dress pants will work for both the lunch and theater settings. Since you will be walking the whole time, make sure you wear a pair of comfortable walking shoes.

Lunch is on the casual side. I've eaten lunch there in a t-shirt and jeans a couple times and no one seemed to be bothered by my attire.
