Looking for new hand mixer...

While I was at work today my boyfriend was home making me cookies. Unfortunately my hand mixer died right in the middle of mixing the dough. We've never had this problem before so I don't think we worked the mixer beyond its normal limits. It was a cheap one I got at Walmart back when I was in college.

So I need a new hand mixer... any recommendations?

(A stand mixer is out of the question since our kitchen is too small for one)
