NE Style Seafood Shack on the North Shore of Long Island?

I was wondering if any one knew of a good New England style (fried clams, scallops, boiled lobster, steamers, that sort of thing) seafood shack on the North Shore of Long Island? Would prefer something not particularly fancy, but any good seafood restaurants in that area would also be welcome. Lastly, any winery recommendations?

Thanks.

PJ Lobster House is great in Port Jefferson. For wineries, I would recommend Roanoke Vineyards, its my personal favorite. Roman Roth makes the wines, the owner Richard is great too. Richard and Roman work for Wolffer Estate Vineyards, which is outstanding as well and Roman makes his own line of wines. Roanoke has their wines, Roman's and Wolffer's. Roanoke vineyards is on the North Fork unlike Wolffer which is in the Hamptons and Roanoke stays open late on the weekends. On the North Fork I would add Shinn Vineyards, Bedell, Corey Creek, Lieb and Peconic Bay. If you like Rose you have to go to Croteaux. Its off the beaten path and has a great french garden.

The Lobster Roll on Sound Avenue in Riverhead has great seafood, and is one of the few places you can still get blowfish (also known as Chicken of the Sea, not to be confused with the tuna of the same name. If you continue east, you'll run into Pindar, Martha Clara, Paumanok, and all the other good east-end vinyards. To my knowledge, there are only two on the south fork, Duck Walk and Channing Daughters, so work your way east on the North Fork. There's also a good seafood house on the dock in Greenport.

Ditto for Lobster Roll. Don't skip Channing Daughters--it's a way more interesting winery than Bedell, Pindar, or Wolffer.

Lobster Roll is over priced and sub par but they do have blowfish. I go there once and a while for their blowfish. They are best known for famous customers and if you want to have that experience you have to go to Amagansett. The vineyards I suggested are based on the quality of the wine. Channing Daughters is nice is you want to look at upside down trees as works of art. Do yourself a favor and skip Pindar. Martha Clara has great sparkling wine but thats about it. I am partial to Grapes of Roth by Roman Roth. If you go to Roanoke try some. It was the highest ever rated merlot in NY at 92 points by the Wine Advocate.

Head all the way out on the North Fork for The Seafood Barge or Frisky Oyster in Greenport which is phenomenal. Bypass Lobster Roll, it's super touristy. I second Roanoke and Paumanok and don't miss Macari!
