Food stops on the way to/from Six Flags NJ?

This is sort of an NY/NJ question. A friend and I are renting a zipcar on Friday and heading to Six Flags for some rollercoaster action.

Is there anywhere worth stopping for food on the way home to NYC? We'll have an extra 3 hours on the reservation and figure we'll probably never be in Jersey for no reason again. :) We'll eat pretty much anything, but for me, seafood is a fave. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

If you want to have one of the best pizzas in America, head to Delorenzo's in Robbinsville. Its off of exit 5 on 175 I believe. Check their website.

You can also head to New Brunswick off the Turnpike and walk around George St. So many options available there.

Pete and Elda's in Neptune is a famous pizza restaurant but rather far away from Jackson,NJ--the area near 6 flags is not a culinary mecca, I'm afraid. Doris and Ed's is well-known for seafood but located in the Highlands.

I'm going to be no help. I always get lost and end up at a random Wendy's.

Princeton NJ has lots of good food. Teresa's makes a fine neapolitan style pizza, they serve lots of organic seasonal veggies, and the pastas are good. The Witherspoon bakery is fantastic. Bent Spoon ice cream, I could eat all day. While I haven't been, Serious Eats has a glowing review of the croissants at The Little Chef Bakery. I have never been to Elements either but I know for a fact that it is very very good.
