Dinner recommendations for west side manhattan?
I am meeting up with two friends on Saturday for dinner and I am wracking my brains trying to come up with options. I want a "hip"-ish place that is at a lower price point-- let's say no more than $25 for an entree. We would prefer somewhere hells kitchen and below and aren't too picky. I was looking at places in chelsea and the village but I can't seem to choose a place. I appreciate any recommendations, thanks!

Cafeteria on 17th & 7th is pretty good and affordable. Usually I have brunch there but I imagine that dinner would be tasty too.

Spice Market- If you like spicy food, thai... it's not too expensive if you share dishes.

I second Casellula, as well as Kashkaval for Mediterranean nibbles. Be forewarned though, they're packed to the rafters on weekend nights and only take reservations for six or more.

Casellulah - ABSOLUTELY. I also love Empanada Mama in HK and Lassi in the West Village is an absolute must. Mmm Mmm Mmmm!

You should check out Eatery on 9th ave 53rd street, it's a cool place and I've heard good things about the grub. Casellulah is nice, it's a cheese emporium. Make sure you get the Mac & cheese, it's pretty tasty.

Taboon on 10th and 53rd is so awesome and so under-the-radar.
I also hear Caselluah is great, but I've never been.

Had some great small plates at Centro Vinoteca last night - and the mussels were delicious!
