Cook to Bang. Recipes to get you laid?
So I just wanted to know if I was the last person who's heard about this site cooktobang.com- Recipes to get you laid? It's got this incredible list of recipes that in one way or another are supposed to turn your late night into a "I made eggs for breakfast".
I like the sound of the "Tap that Ass-paragus" I think it's hilarious!
Again, has anyone else heard of this http://cooktobang.com/ and what is everyone's thoughts on it?

As a woman, only the name is offensive to me....and I am NO prude! The guy's heart is in the right place but we're not really talking about his heart, are we? The act of cooking for someone is wonderful in and of itself, even if your motives are self serving. I can't knock this though....if a man (or woman) cooks for someone and that dish inspires the recipient to thank them in that way, then who am I to judge?

As a woman, I don't find it offensive--I like to bang too.
But as a woman who will be leaving a 3-year-gastrosexual relationship (hopefully soon) I think this may not be bad. I hope to find another foodie; this time one with a job! :D

I've never had to consult a website to know what to cook to get me laid. . The best food to get you laid is what the other person wants. Be it Rose Levy Beranbaum's Chocolate Oblivion Truffle Torte (or what I like to refer to as Cake-Shaped Spanish Fly); the creamiest mushroom or lobster bisque you can manage - or the chicken soup he or she ate as a child and now longs for with every fiber of his or her being.
Whether it's because you've impressed your intended partner with your cooking prowess or beause he or she is so incredibly grateful to enjoy such artfully and thoughtfully prepared cuisine, there's nothing more effective than food to close the deal. At least without having to take out a mortgage...

It's a decent site, but his style is not my favorite of the genre. I prefer a less in-your-face presentation. Still I give him props.
Here's a sample of my idea of a simple foodie seduction:

@christel - I'm terribly intrigued by your "gastrosexual" relationship.
@chiff - As always, well said. Nothing beats the look on my hubby's face when I've either made him something new and wonderful or recreated a favorite dish from childhood.
Now, if the 2 year old wasn't at the same table, maybe there would be more banging in the kitchen than just the pots!
arm1970 at 2:58PM on 05/06/09
@chiff - I'm all for that. Normally what works for me is cooking anything more complicated than a grilled cheese sandwich. As a guy who's not a chef by trade, most girls don't expect me to have any skills...in the kitchen. Anyway, I throw together something to eat and I get to the banging. Lol it's kinda simple. But, trying something new is always fun.

@arm - HAHA pots and pans DO bang in the kitchen too! Clever!
Intrigued you say? haha he's gonna be single soon! He never lets me cook dammit! (never thought I'd EVER say such a thing...)
I think it's one of my new critera :D
Gastrosexuals are the way to go if you get your pick! haha

I think it's great, anyway to get recipes out there and discuss food is GREAT! And he does it in a humourous way. I'm not offended!

oh my gosh; I had to peek at the site. Just skimming over the recipe list made me giggle! I think it's just silly. Excuse for someone to purvey dirtiness with a motivation [supposedly] to offer 'useful advice'.
fun and harmless, I deduct.

hey - i give you credit, philadooklyn for taking it outside the box!
(ha ha)
pooch at 8:56PM on 05/06/09
@pooch awe thanks I didn't even know there was a box. Does this mean I'm a rebel? Yes!
philadooklyn at 9:31PM on 05/06/09
there's always a box, philadooklyn..... i guess you are a rebel....
just learn to cook so you can back it up, baby.

bust-a nut squash soup. hysterical.
spiceweasel at 8:58AM on 05/07/09
Haha! If a guy asked me to come over for a nice dinner of "Polenta you Pants Off" with "Pinch your ass-berry brownies" for dessert, I would run away. Or not... ;o)

MISO HORNY COD?
Love it! I totally get the idea, and it's fantastic. Whatever gets the job done.
Cheers to that!

Showed the site to my hubby and he laughed his ass off. Now if he could just learn to cook that stuff too.

Strategically, something heavy and carby like lasagna or scalloped potatos might hinder any forthcoming lovemaking. Ditto for any possible seafood or dairy sensitivity. I'd personally go for something light, though I'd be in the mood for indulgence *after* the deed.
Cute idea for a website though. Some of the recipes look decent.

In all seriousness, chocolate fondue. Kind of kitschy, a little sticky and oh-so-intimate. Also, chocolate and berries and cake? Also, back when I ate meat, I found that a seared tuna steak was sexier and sat better than a rich cream sauce or a big chunk of red meat.

I think the concept is extremely clever. I looked at quite a few of the recipes and they are actually sound delish. My only critique is the blog itself needs some "spice" to it. Kind of a plain jane setting.
