Specialty stores that only deal with one type of food item?

I'm searching around for different specialty stores that only sell one type of item, but all kinds of different brands...I'm trying to keep it on the more unique side (no chocolate or coffee).
I've found hot sauce, mustard, gourmet salts and mushrooms so far, but does any one know of anything else?

I know quite a few stores -- online and brick-and-mortar -- that specialize in certain items, but I can't think of any that don't venture into other products. JR Mushrooms specializes in mushrooms, but I've bought vanilla beans from them. There's a cheese store in my town, but they also sell other foods. There's an olive oil store that's not too far from here, but they also sell vinegars, fancy dried pastas, and other related items.

The only ones I can think of that stay true to the one item are a couple of spice stores, but even they sell spice bottles, pepper grinders, and related items. And with the spice stores, one sells their brand only, and the other buys bulk spices and packages them, so that doesn't fit your criteria of one item and multiple brands.

I'd be curious where you found these places that sell just the single items. Are they actual storefronts or just online?

are we writing a blog, term paper or article for you?

This is a storefront near where I live. I have never eaten there but it has been there for years--a brick and mortar place devoted to cranberries--and don't ask me how it stays in business!

Also, the Peanut Butter & Co

and S'mac

Is this for a marketing class?

Can't think of a single thing. Good luck.

A cheese store? I know of one in San Francisco that sells ONLY cheese. Lovely place..............

I have to remember this next time someone asks what I miss about my "home hood" but the pasta stores come to mind. Ravioli Fair on 18th Avenue and 75th Street in Brooklyn was incredible with fresh pasta in just about every cut displayed in little cases behind the cashier and the most gorgeous ravioli that were so fresh, I used to eat one raw when I got them home - much to the chagrin of my mother.

I live right near there! I don't know Ravioli Fair though.. maybe its not there anymore? Queen Anne's Ravioli came to mind, its further up on 18th avenue. mmm... so good...
