Persian Food

Does anyone know anything about Persian food? Perhaps you have some good recipes, restaurant suggestions or experiences?

where are you located, so we can recommend restaurants for you?
i love claudia roden's books: new book of middle eastern food & arabesque. arabesque is less about persian food, but in the same vein.
here's a link to some of her recipes:

I'm located in Arizona right now..but I travel a lot and would love suggestions for any city.

GinaPet - Hit the Persian Room in Scottsdale. Good stuff.

Cafe Natasha's Kabob International in St. Louis: A lovely family runs it and there are lots of vegetarian options, for those who are interested in that. (Plus stories from the father of the family, who loves to discuss the food.)

In Boston, it's Lala Rokh in Beacon Hill.... Just amazing.

If you're ever in Houston, try Kasra on Westheimer. They have an incredible garlic hummus that's the best I've ever had, with fresh, homemade pita. The khoresh bademjan is very good- lamb with roasted eggplant and sour grapes. Also the chicken fesenjan- chicken in a pomegranate-nut sauce, and the flavored rices (ie, sour cherry rice) are delicious.
