My mother-in-law turns 85 shortly and, much as she swears by the coffee shop at her retirement home, we think we should aim just a bit higher for her birthday dinner. Can anyone recommend a restaurant in the area? It will just be four of us, not a big party; quiet and not fancy would be great. Since it's her birthday and not mine, I'll tell you that German cuisine would be viewed most favorably. But honestly, all suggestions appreciated (and anything exotic or barbecue will be filed away for future reference). Thanks!
