Healthy Wedding Diet

I'm getting married in four months!!! and while I dont really need to LOSE weight, I'd like a meal plan that would give me that extra "glow". I have been looking online and we all know that isnt always going to solve the problem. Does any one have a great website that the have used or some personal tips?!

First of all, congratulations!

Secondly, the only way to lose weight is calories in

Here's a healthy eating plan:
4 small meals a day
1 lean protein per meal (serving size is about 3-4 oz)
2 carbs per day (1 slice of bread, 1 english muffin, 1/2 cup rice, etc.) - always eat carbs with a protein
3 fruits a day (a banana counts as 2)
2 dairy a day (low fat dairy, 1 cup serving size)
2 fats a day (1T per serving, such as mayo, peanut butter, oil, butter, avocado)
plenty of water

Drink lots of water; it's good for your skin.

lots of water, less meat (or at least less red meat), more fruits/veggies than you usually do. keep it simple.

Lots of water and a colorful diet--think about hitting all colors of the rainbow in the produce section and you'll be boosting your consumption of anti-oxidant and phyto rich foods. Congratulations!

Why did that completely cut off my post? Here's what I meant to say:

The only way to lose weight is calories out is greater than calories in. Work out...do resistance training to build muscle (muscle torches more calories than fat and will increase your metabolism), and cardio training for its calorie burning ability. Track what you eat (and therefore your calories)...try a website like FitDay or SparkPeople.

I say pay attention to your skin care and drink lots of water and green tea and watch your salt intake and have fun.

Exercise! At the very least go for a 30 minute fast walk every day. The exercise will do your body good, the fresh air will clear your mind and make your skin glow and the time spent thinking and seeing the world around you will make your spirit glow!

think happy thoughts, eat healthy food, drink lots of water and sleep with your window open -- gives you a nice healthy glow....!

The water is a great suggestion. Lots of salads and lighter fare. I don't know if you exercise on a regular basis but what it does for your appearance is amazing. I never have such an even complexion and healthy glow as I do when I exercise regularly. (Luckily this has been the case pretty consistently for the last several years.)

Briskly walking gets the heart pumping. If you can manage a walking route that includes a couple of uphills, all the better. And if you'd like those Michele Obama "guns" (yeah!) you can do some bicep curls, push ups, shoulder raises - all these will sculpt your arms. They won't make you a female bodybuilder.

You're going to need plenty of zen, especially as the date draws near. Nothing ages the appearance like stress so handle yours wisely!

Definitely focus on the antioxidants (tea, berries, plenty of water), skip junk food and added sugar, and add 30 minutes of exercise 4-5 days a week enough to make you sweat.

If you don't use it already, you might want to try topical retin-A for your skin - mine has never looked so healthy. Try it now though if you do - just to allow for any mishaps!

Similar to therealchiffonade, take time to relax! Look into regular massage (medical massage can be cheaper and target physically tense areas) or even a short-term acupuncture regimen to keep everything calm and balanced. And even though I'm sure you'll have a lot going on...get plenty of sleep!!

Congrats!!! I agree with most comments:

Drink plenty of water
Stop drinking sodas/soft drinks - even the diet ones... I lost about 10 lbs just by deleting sodas from my diet.
Exercise regularly
Eat less meat products... try to go veggie 2-3 days a week.

Lots of water, lean proteins, fresh veggies/fruit. Right before my wedding, I was running around so much that I didn't have time to eat crap. Just remember to eat something on your wedding day. I forgot and I passed out during Communion. Oops!
